Enhancing relationships with the Human Givens framework

Relationships can be complex and as life and circumstances constantly change, the ability to stay connected in a secure relationship can become challenging.

The quality of any relationship is dependent on the type of attention that is given to it and using the Human Givens framework, we can firstly look at how emotional and physical needs are or aren’t being met for both parties and how this may be impacting the lives you are existing in together.

Goals

Therapy will help couples to identify what you both want from the relationship and we will always have tasks in place so you can both move forward together towards a common goal. Goals are an important part of any therapeutic process as it helps to enhance engagement with the process but also provides outcomes for you both to work towards.

A healthy MOT

In general, couples therapy is a healthy process to undertake even when things are going OK, think of it as a couples MOT. Happiness and contentment in a relationship isn't always linear. Relationships and people are constantly evolving, there is an ever growing mountain of external factors and pressures such as work, children, families that you need to navigate yourselves through that can create additional strain.
